so a few school years ago one of my kids who will not be named is our responsible one the one that like the responsibility bone is like so big you don't have to tell her anything she does it all studies on her own does her own homework I mean like it's unbelievable this one week she forgot her spelling words could not find them anywhere the morning of the test and she is a mess I mean crying can't breathe I mean she's panicking granted she's got basically a hundred on every test that year I was like but I'm watching her and I just knelt down and I said get a zero get a zero she's like what and I was like Miss every word on that spelling test and you're going to come home on Friday this tonight and you're going to have pizza with us we're going have family movie night and your life is going to continue on they perfectionism is like an enemy y'all and my that little perfectionist man she she couldn't grasp it and of course she didn't have her words did she get a 100 anyways yes cuz she's smart unlike how I was in school that never would have happened to me we have this expectation and this could be with anything how you doing your job marriage parenting your body and health like on this side of Heaven There is no Perfection now do we want to not make the same mistake over and over again do we want to learn from lessons that are hard in life and pain and get on a healthy track and the right track absolutely amen hallelujah but it's not going be perfect it's so if you need to hear this today throw Perfection out the freaking window so
